Surrey or Sorrento? Captured by Rebecca Kerr Photography

We caught up with Rebecca from Rebecca Kerr Photography, who has shared with us an Italian Alfresco inspired styled shoot she captured from last summer as we spoke about the excitement of English weddings making a return as well as destination weddings being permitted again (counting down the days, come on Borris!).

So how did Rebecca and this wonderful team make Surrey feel like Sorento?

First of all, venue is always key, and having Our Beautiful Glasshouse as their location, with the incredible gardens and woodlands surrounding it, catching rays of sunshine from all angles it was certainly the next best thing to shooting from the Amalfi Coast.

Rebecca said "The idea for this setup was to give a destination wedding feel whilst actually still being in England. The alfresco tables cape styled by Rebecca Marie Weddings with florals from Flower and Fern Studio. The simple outdoor chandeliers & white draped fabrics & linens gave a sense of luxury & opulence whilst still being intimate & relaxed."

We get that vibe too Rebecca, it's beautiful!

I'm sure it will come as no shock to you, but we asked Rebecca to be one of our recommended suppliers for a few reasons, and this shoot really highlights why. Her ability to use the sunlight to her advantage here, capture pure romance and intimacy in a photograph is something everyone desires in their wedding photographer. Although based in Yorkshire, Rebecca is willing to travel anywhere in the world to capture your big day and equally, make you look like you're anywhere in the world too, this shoot is evident of that.

One of my favourite elements of this shoot, and something thats impossible to ignore is the sheer beauty in the Berta gown, modelled to perfection by Marlene from Anna Bridal. The low plunge neckline and delicate beading makes this dress so feminine but for me, its the dropped shoulders and that add such a luxury enchantment to this gown.

Her hair & makeup look was a soft, relaxed glam with her hair in loose waves and her makeup fresh & glowy explained Rebecca. This is exactly the look we would expect for an Italian bride.

Male model Ash kept things casual in an open collar shirt in a deep shade of brown. Again, this laid back look is very popular with male Italian fashion .

This shoot oozes luxury in our opinion, but in a really laid back way.

The kind of shoot that really does make you feel as though you're amongst the Sorento Sunshine when in Surrey is sure to be spectacular.

Rebecca agreed and added "The vibe was incredibly relaxed yet each detail was carefully considered and cohesive."
