Boho vibes is a popular request when it comes to styling weddings and lets be honest, theres no surprise why, but what exactly does it mean? North and Wilde Events ooze boho beauty and they said: 'Bohemianism is the practice of an unconventional lifestyle, often in the company of like-minded people, with few permanent ties, involving musical, artistic or literary pursuits. In this context, Bohemians can be wanderers, adventurers, or vagabonds.’
So how exactly does this translate into weddings we ask? "Most Bohemian themes or styles are inspired by 1970’s flair. Think flowing fabrics, wildflowers, gorgeous greenery, and extra bouts of texture on the tables. This whimsical wonderland can be created within any venue; using any colour scheme and it can still be combined with the more traditional wedding ideas if you didn’t want to go all out bohemia." Sounds fun and ideal for the modern lovers right?
This styled shoot captured by the extremely talented Mark Bamforth Photography paired with North and Wild's styling, created a magical luxe boho wedding, perfect for any couple looking to combine something dreamy yet electric for their trend setting wedding. Want something to look back on in years to come and be confident you rocked the coolest wedding, well these are your perfect pair of suppliers.
Having caught up with Sophie, owner of North and Wilde Events, she said " Looking back now, I cant believe that this shoot was our first ever styled shoot. It was July 2020, we were sort of in lockdown limbo and we wanted to really show couples that although we were in and out of lockdown and things were still pretty rubbish that they could still enjoy an intimate elopement style wedding and really enjoy being together and help them to understand that you can still have all those aspects of a regular sized wedding, a cake, a beautiful dress, gorgeous food, stunning decor, albeit down sized – they are just as beautiful & you could still share it with your close friends and family."
We could not agree more with Sophie, in fact we have been saying for over a year now, that small weddings do not mean there is any less love. They are just as beautiful and this shoot is pure evidence of that. Besides, less people mean more cake and who wouldn't want more cake, especially one as beautiful as this by Grace Emily Cakes!
Boho styling might be a really popular choice at weddings these days, but we can understand why. They give couples a sense of individuality, its a style you can have fun with and be as wild as you like!
Sophie, North and Wild Events also explained "Boho Weddings really do depict that feeling of freedom. This shoot almost give that 60’s Woodstock vibe, the cane, the vintage wicker furniture, the staple Pampas grass, the gorgeous crochet style wedding dress from Shikoba Bride via Bridal Serendipity and the incredible Macrame from Amber & Boheme all scream Boho." A couples personalisation can really be added to all of these elements though and that is why it can be so popular.
